For the Benefit of Both is a seasonal, immersive experience series designed to bring people together through creativity, community, and nature. Each event pairs artistic expression with meaningful partnerships, creating space for people to gather, learn, celebrate, and belong.

Through these events, nature becomes more than scenery, it becomes the medium, the memory, and the spark that inspires connection. Through shared experiences, participants see themselves reflected in the landscape and in one another, building a deeper sense of place and community.

This series invites people to feel welcomed, represented, and part of something greater, all year long.

FREE COMMUNITY EVENT

Saturday, May 2 | 12–2 PM

Family Portraits & Professional Headshots in the Park

Our first event features family photos and professional-style headshots set against the beautiful marsh landscape. We’re partnering with Angie Capwell Photography and Fokus Photo to offer FREE photo sessions in the park at a suggested donation to The Nature Place. We ask for families and individuals to register head of time for a timeslot to beat the day of rush. People will be able to have their pictures taken ont he day ouf without registering, but those regisered will recieve priority at their time slot. All funds raised support our free community programs.

We encourage families and individuals to register ahead of time for a photo timeslot to help avoid the day-of rush.

Walk-ups will still be welcome, but those who register in advance will receive priority during their selected timeslot.

Beyond the photo setups, we’ve curated a welcoming community space featuring local organizations and resources supporting areas of life many people are navigating—finances, wellness, community groups, returning to the workforce, and hands-on activities for kids.

Come connect, explore, and spend time outdoors with your community.
