This theme highlights the role of public participation (community science) in collecting data on migratory bird populations and their habitats and factors that impact their populations and contribute to our knowledge about how to protect them.
9:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Bird Crafts, Games, and Activities indoors and outdoors, including a chance to win your own binoculars and birding field guide, thanks to a grant from the WI Society for Ornithology
10:00 AM: Beautiful Birds Driftless Area BioBlitz event starts. Join Sophia Sperduto, Environmental Educator, AmeriCorps Member, ornithologist, and artist for a talk and walk. She will talk about how amazing birds are, how to observe birds, and help protect them.
