Gwena grew up in La Crosse and fondly remembers visiting The Nature Place in its past lives. She is passionate about creating ways to bring the community together and is excited to pursue this at The Nature Place. Gwena has explored much of the surrounding area through activities such as hiking and kayaking with her two older sisters. She majored in Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies at Ohio University but has always had a passion for caring for the earth and its creatures. In her free time, Gwena loves to read, paint, and spend time with her cat, Colette. She is excited to pass along her love for the area and its unique environment in her role as Environmental Educator.
