This month, Tim Acklin, Planning Manager from the City of La Crosse, will be talking about the update to the zoning code. In each of the zoning districts, their permitted uses and requirements/restrictions will be identified. After that is complete a comprehensive rezoning will be done. That is currently estimated to take place toward the end of next year. He will also discuss what the Friends of the La Crosse River Marsh can do to assist with reviewing and assessing what the zoning district should be for the marsh for its protection.
