School Programs & Field Trips
Our Environmental Education Program engages students from the La Crosse School District, surrounding schools and homeschool learning groups in meaningful, hands-on experiences that support and enrich students and teachers in their science curricula or cross-curricular ties.
Homeschool Science Sessions
The Nature Place welcomes homeschooled students to participate in science sessions, giving access to resources and opportunities to interact with nature and each other!
We offer 3-hour individually themed Homeschool Science sessions on select Tuesdays between October and April for ages 6 - 18. Group size is limited with a minimum of 5 learners required,
Early explorers
A nature-based exploration group for children ages 2 - 5 plus a caregiver!
Each week includes a seasonal theme for touching, doing and learning using real nature artifacts, a simple craft, story, outdoor exploration time and more.
We offer Early Explorer program series every fall, winter, and spring. Each program series is 4 to 6 weeks.
