Join us for 2025 Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Daytime events -The Nature Place and Myrick Park

  • 9:30 a.m. Proclamation by La Crosse Mayor Shaundel Washington-Spivey and Welcome by Ho-Chunk Nation President Jon Greendeer at The Nature Place in Myrick Park.
  • 10 a.m-3 p.m. Hinukwaseja Trolley Tours at Myrick Park (pick up and drop off location)
  • 10 a.m. Cabna (Lacrosse) Tournament at Myrick Park
  • 11 a.m-3 p.m. Activities, Vendors, Education at Myrick Park & The Nature Place
  • 1pm-3pm: Bill Quackenbush (Educational Speaker) 

Evening program – The Bluffs – UWL

  • 3:30-5 p.m. Vendors, community tables, and tours of the Hinukwas Tree Trail
  • 5 p.m. Welcome
  • 5:30-7:30 p.m. Community dinner and entertainment
  • Irene Keenan Jr, Corey Rae White, Ria Thundercloud, and Hoocak Dancers
  • 7:30 p.m. Keynote speaker: Amy Lonetree
    • Presented by the UWL Birchler Lecture Series
