Mace was born and raised in La Crosse and has a huge appreciation for the Driftless area. In his free time, he loves to hike the bluffs and walk through rivers to collect rocks and herbs. He’s always been a plant lover and has a strong passion for all the wonderful, fragrant herbs in the mint (Lamiaceae) family. At home, he grows his own herbs throughout the summer and uses them to make tinctures, incense and teas. He is passionate about how herbs can improve mental and physical health.
Mace is excited to be a part of The Nature Place organization through his AmeriCorps service. He feels lucky to work with plants every day, and have the opportunity to spread the love for and knowledge of plants to the community.
