Chelsea was raised on an organic dairy farm located in a valley between West Salem and Mindoro, Wisconsin. At a young age, she appreciated wildlife, typically found chasing butterflies and looking for amphibians at night.

Her favorite animal is the Sandhill Crane. Chelsea’s hobbies are outdoor-related; canoeing, paddle boarding, biking, and ice skating in the Coulee Region. She also enjoys reading; her favorite author is James Herriot. She enjoys spending time with her family and her fiancé Brennan, as well. Recently, she has just completed her Associate of Science at Western Technical College.

In the future, she is planning to transfer to UW-La Crosse to major in Science Education and minor in Spanish. Chelsea joined The Nature Place-AmeriCorps term of service to pursue her passions of nature and teaching children about the wonders of the environment.
