Enviro-Wednesdays is an adult (ages 14+) nature series on the first Wednesday of every month at 7 PM at The Nature Place (unless otherwise noted). Free, no registration necessary. This month you can find out more about how to leave the natural world better than you found it. Justin Holten is a local community member involved with Leave No Trace and outdoor education in the La Crosse Area since he was a kid in a local Boy Scout troop. In the Boy Scouts, Justin learned all about Leave No Trace and went on to get his Level 1 certification to teach the general public about the basics of Leave No Trace. Justin has worked for the local Boy Scouts summer camp and The Nature Place as an Environmental Education Assistant. Before completing his time as an AmeriCorps member, Justin secured a grant to help fund the purchase of teaching materials to further implement programming into many facets of The Nature Place programs. Participants will leave with the knowledge and better mindset of how to take care of the world individually and spread the word, and teach others.
