DESCRIPTION:This FREE family-friendly program is part of the Driftless Area
  BioBlitz series of programs coordinated by The Nature Place. A bioblitz i
 s a community science effort to record species with a designated location 
 and time.  Anyone\, of any age\, and any skill level is invited to help r
 ecord observations of plants and wildlife in the area yearly.\n\nMeet at t
 he Lower Hixon Forest Main Trailhead which is at the end of Milson Court S
 treet in La Crosse.  Our expert will be Dr Todd Osmundson from UW-La Cros
 se\, who studies fungi. He will help you understand more about how fantast
 ic fungi are and how to find fungi. Someone will also be on hand to help y
 ou learn how to use the iNaturalist app to record your findings.
